Phil Alexander Robertson, born 1946, is an American professional hunter, businessman, and reality television star known for Duck Dynasty and Duck Commander, a hunting program on the Outdoor Channel.

Robertson, born in Louisiana, lived a happy 1850s lifestyle with his family, relying on garden produce, hunting, and livestock, and owns a restored log cabin.

Phil, a talented athlete, played first-string quarterback for Louisiana Tech but quit due to hunting interference. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Education, but chose hunting.

Phil, married Marsha Carroway in 1966, is a conservative Protestant Christian elder at White's Ferry Road Church of Christ, opposing abortion and modern technology.

Phil Robertson, a commercial fisherman, developed a duck call in 1972 and patented it in 1973. He became an alcoholic and separated from his family.
